Harry's heart was pounding as if he just ran a marathon. He sat down at a step in principal's office.
He just got out of the pensive...
He has to die... I mean, he already knew he has to die! Dumbledore already told him, almost 3 years ago now, that the prophecy, becuase of which Voldemort chose him as his equal, meant that for one of them to truly win, one has to kill the other...
And the reason Voldemort and Harry have such connection is becuase the night when Voldemort killed his parents, his mother, Lilly, didn't just sacrifice herself for Harry. The ancient magic didn't just rebound...
Harry survived also becuase by Voldemort killing him, Voldemort chose him as his equal... that's why the killing curse didn't work, that's why it rebounded and destroyed Voldemort for a while...
That's why Harry can speak Parseltongue...
This is all becuase Voldemort tried to kill him 16 years ago...
The golden trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione, were hunting down and destroying all of Voldemort's horcruxes in hope of being able to defeat him for good if they destroy them all...
But at first Harry didn't understand something about the horcruxes... Why is he able to feel (and hear) the horcruxes when they are near? He feels all of them... he felt the diary, the ring, the necklace and much more....
But... over the time, he began to suspect it (as well as Hermione and Ron)... and apparently Dumbledore realized it and didn't even tell him... why didn't he tell him?
"Probably becuase it's a trivial thing" Harry mumbled an annoyed, upset, angry and sad and other unnameable emotions, thought out loud "Why would he tell me, it's not important!" He said, calming down already... he should stay calm, close off his mind, so Voldemort won't be able to get in and find out...
And then he remembered... it's because of the connection he has with Voldemort. Becuase if he found out, he wouldn't kill Harry, Becuase the thing Voldemort fears the most is dying.
Harry's scar wasn't hurting, but he could clearly feel that Voldemort is getting impatient, even though he told everyone, and especially Harry, that he's giving them an hour. An hour without violence, without fights, without them wasting away more wizarding blood.
Voldemort basically gave them a semi-ultimatum. They have to bring Harry to him, or Harry has to come himself. If he doesn't end up in the Forbidden Forest, the fight will restart and more people will get killed.
Harry knows that Voldemort is confident that Harry will come to him.
Severus Snape even offered to go get Harry. But Voldemort refused, he strongly believes that Harry will come to him out of his own free will. He thinks (and knows) that Harry has too much heroism in him to let more people die becuase of him.
Harry is not happy about this. Even though he knew for three years now, that he has to die, even thought he always came very close to getting killed, he never truly wanted to die. His will to live was much bigger then the want to die, for all of it to end.
But now, he will die. Now, everything will end. Now all he knew will be gone (for him). He'll soon join all the people he loved, who died: his parents, Lupin, Sirius, (Tonks, Dobby, Cedric), and so much more. All of them died because of him.
His parents were murdered simply Becuase they were in Voldemort's way when he wanted to murder Harry on that Halloween night sixteen years ago.
Sirius was murdered by his own cousin, Bellatrix, three years ago, because Harry believed what Voldemort made up and put into his mind while he slept. He believed that he tortured Sirius for information. So Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ginny and Neville went to the ministry, to the Department of Mysteries. They quickly found out that Voldemort tricked Harry into believing that he was torturing his godfather. Soon the Death Eaters (Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy and more) came, to take the prophecy from Harry, as soon as Neville noticed a prophecy about Harry and Voldemort. Soon the kids and the Death Eaters got to the part of the department where the veil is, and death eaters took Harry's friends hostage, threatening to kill them unless Harry gives the prophecy to Lucius, to them, to the Dark Lord, to Voldemort. But Harry didn't give it to them. Soon the Order Of the Phoenix arrived. So obviously a fight started. The fight semi-ended when Bellatrix hit her own cousin, Sirius, with the green light of Avada Kedavra, the killing curse... Harry got so mad at Bellatrix and out of grief over Sirius, anger and how his mind refused to believe that Sirius died, he went after Bellatrix and ended up hitting her with the Cruciatus curse, which didn't work.
"...You have to mean it, for the curse to work!..." Bellatrix mocked Harry, making fun of that he's not able to make this unforgivable curse work.
Lupin and Tonks died in the fight for Hogwarts. Why Tonks came was unknown to Harry; he knows that Lupin and Tonks have a baby boy named Ted, and that Harry is Ted's godfather... but why would Tonks leave her son...?
Dobby died when he apparated Harry, Hermione and Ron out of the chamber in the Malfoy's manor. But Bellatrix threw a knife towards the place where they disaparated from. The knife ended up in Dobby. And so, that's how Dobby died. He died in Harry's arms. And so, Harry ended up burying him in the back of the garden behind the house in which and Bill and Fleur live in.
So many people died becuase of Harry, and soon he'll meet them again. Soon he'll join them. Soon he'll be gone...
