Chapter 6

Harry woke up with a gasp, he had a nightmare. It wasn't very detailed, but it was a remake of the walk towards his death. He woke up right when the green light hit him.

Harry immediately sat up, and as if out of reflex, he started looking around, as if he was scanning the room for any danger. But as soon as he realized that he's still in the hut, and not in the Forbidden Forest, made him feel silly.

"Yeh alright, are yeh...?" Hagrid asked him, sounding like he woke up only a few minutes ago.

"H-huh?" Harry looked at Hagrid caught off guard, still trying to shake off the images he saw in his nightmare. "Yea, I'm fine." He said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Sure, now?" Hagrid doesn't seem like he believed him, "Seemed like yeh were havin' a right bad dream just now, yeh did." He was looking at Harry with pity and slight worry.

"Yea, just like you said, a bad dream" he mumbled, only now noticing how irritated he must sound. Just when he looked at Hagrid, an apology forming on his tongue already, Hagrid spoke again.

"Want ter talk abou' it, do yeh?" He asked, with understanding tone... he sounds like someone who's used to having bad dreams... ("is he okay?" Harry thought, worried.)

"Not really" Harry said quietly, as he looked away, he doesn't want to talk about his past, especially not about that night.

"If yeh insist, then..." Hagrid said kindly, putting a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder. But at the contact Harry unconsciously flinched, only noticing it when Hagrid pulled his hand away quickly.

Both of them now just sat in silence.

Harry is trying his best to focus on this hut, to distract himself from remembering the bad parts from his life, before he got sent back.

Hagrid, on the other hand, seems to be thinking about something else.

Suddenly both of them heard knocking. Harry flinched slightly, but calmed a little as he saw that it's just an owl.

Hagrid put his hand in one of the pockets and took out wizarding money, counted five knuts (bronze coins) and tossed the rest of them back in the pocket. Then he stood up, walked to the window, opened it, she stood on one leg now, showing the small bag, Hagrid put the knuts in it and the owl dropped the newspaper in his open palm, and flew away.

Hagrid then sat back on the sofa, unrolled the newspaper and began reading it. When Harry looked closer he quickly realized it was "The Daily Prophet", he never really liked that newspaper, but it's useful way to check on what's going on in the wizarding world, especially when he has to stay at the Dursleys for the summer.

Hagrid closed the Prophet and shoved it in his pocket about a minute after he opened it. By the looks on his face it seems like there wasn't anything particularly interesting today.

He than looked at his watch, and quickly stood up, and immediately started putting on his big boots.

"Harry, buck up, now! Gotta get ourselves to London, loads ter do, we have!" He said as he put on his coat.

Harry immediately stood up quickly, and started getting ready

A short while later and they were both ready to go.

Harry remembered a question he never really got an answer to before, "how did you get here, anyway?" He asked out of pure curiosity, truly feeling like a child again.

""Flew 'ere, I did." Hagrid simply explained.

"Yes," Harry said, not knowing why he's gaining slight annoyance, "but how did you fly here?" Although he still felt the annoyance, the curiosity never left him.

"Ain't important, Harry, that bit."

"I know it's not important," Harry said, trying his best to sound like a kid, "but I'm just curious!"

"Look, I used a bit o' magic, see?" Hagrid explained unhappily because he knows that this is not the kind of explanation Harry wanted to hear.

"Aye, an' don' expect me ter tell yeh more, now." He said as he looked at Harry, the look in his eyes saying that he's serious about this.

"Okay..."

Soon they were back at the bottom of the rock, where the boat Harry and the three Dursleys swam in to get to the hut.

They got into the boat, and Hagrid now looked unsure, hesitant.

"I don' really fancy rowin', I don'."  He said, and looked back at Harry, a grin already forming on his face.

"Listen, if I, er, use a lil' bit o' magic, jus' to get us to land a bit quicker, promise yeh won' go tellin' everyone back at Hogwarts?"

"Of course!" Harry replied, sounding like a kid excited to see something interesting.

"Alright then."

****************

The ride in the boat was quite uneventful. Hagrid just filled the boring silence with him explaining pretty much everything about the wizarding world that he hadn't explained yet.

Hagrid had stopped explaining once the boat hit the pier. Both of them stood up, got out of the boat and onto the stairs made from stone and they walked up. They were in a small town and started walking towards a train station. And, of course, just like the last time, people were staring and pointing at Hagrid, and they whispered to eachother, especially when he pointed out and loudly told Harry how amazed he is of just how well muggles are able to do without magic.

Soon they arrived to the train station. He made Harry pay for the train tickets for the two of them with the "muggle money" he gave him, becuase he's confused as to how to use them.

When they were finally in the train Hagrid began to kill the time with him knitting something that resembled a  canary yellow circus tent.

"Got yer letter, Harry, do yeh?"  Hagrid asked, as he counted the spots which he missed.

Harry took his letter out of his pocket.

"Right then, got a whole list o' stuff yeh'll be needin'." Hagrid told him.

Harry took out the list and read it again:

**********************************

When they finally arrived to London Hagrid was pretending he knew where he was going, but Harry knows that he's used to using a different route. He even got stuck in the turnstile in the entrance to the metro, and inside it he was loudly swearing that the seats are too small and that the trains are too slow.

"Blimey, I don' understand how Muggles can jus' go about dealin' with things with no magic at all, I don'." Hagrid said, as they were getting up on the out of order moving staircase, and got out on the busy street surrounded by shops.

Hagrid was so huge that Harry didn't have to do anything, just stay near him. They walked past a bunch of shops; bookstores, shops with CDs, buffets with hamburgers, cinemas; but Harry knew where they're going.

"Here 'tis" Hagrid said as he stopped infront of the bar called 'Leaky Couldron', "Right cozy place, this."

Both of them entered. Once they did that the conversation quieted, Harry knows that Hagrid is a common customer here. Everyone smiled and wawed to Hagrid.

"As usual, Hagrid?" The barman asked.

"Can' do tha', I'm here on a job, see." Hagrid replied and he tapped on Harry's shoulder with his giant palm so hard that it made his knees almost buckle.

"Oh my god," the barman breathed out, his eyes not leaving Harry. "Isn't it - is it even...?"

Suddenly a very tense silence fell on in the Leaky Couldron. Oh, how much he's going to miss the times he had when he was still with the Dursleys and in the muggle world when people weren't constantly staring at him, especially at his scar.

"I won't survive this," the old barman whispered "Harry Potter... how glad I am to meet you."

He got out from the counter and quickly got to Harry and with tears in his eyes he held his hand.

"Welcome back at us, mister Potter, welcome back."

Not even with this happening for the second time, he couldn't find the correct words to reply, but as he realised that soon people will come, greet him, introduce themselves to him and tell him how great it is for them to be finally meeting him, he knew he doesn't need to say anything.

And just like last time, suddenly from all the directions chairs creaked and everyone came to Harry and started doing the exact same thing as they did the last time.

"Doris Crockford, mister Potter, I can't believe that I'm really meeting you."

"I'm so, so proud of you, mister Potter, I'm genuinely really proud of you" he said, as if it was truly Harry's doing that made him survive that Halloween night.

"I've always wanted to shake your hand - it's such a huge honor for me."

"It's unspeakably great to be finally meeting you, mister Potter, my name is Diggle, Dedalus Diggle."

Harry was growing tired of the hand shaking already, and the most annoying thing about this is that he knows that this is most likely going to happen in every single shop he'll go to today. Doris Dockford even came back a few times, just so she could shake his hand more.

Harry saw someone pale trying to get through to him, he froze a little as he recognized who it was.

"Proffesor Quirrell!" Hagrid called out, "Harry, Professor Quirrell'll be one o' yer teachers at Hogwarts."

Luckily for Harry, no one seemed to notice that he froze for a while, either that or they just didn't think much of it.

"I-it's great t-to be f-finally meeting you, m-mister P-potter." Quirrell said.

"What subject do you teach, professor?" Harry asked as he remembered he's supposed to be a clueless, oblivious eleven year old kid who has just learned about wizarding world.

"D-defense against the d-dark a-arts" Quirrell replied, acting like a scared guy, but Harry knows it's all just an act. This got him wondering... is Voldemort already on the back of his head or he's going to get on it later?

"B-but that's n-nothing for you, right, P-potter?" Quirrell laughed nervously, "Y-you're probably here on s-shopping, or not? I c-came h-here to buy the latest book a-about v-vampires." He was acting as if only mentioning the book was enough to give him chills.

But others hadn't let Quirrell be with Harry for any longer, which, ironically, made him be glad of this moment.

This lasted for about ten more minutes, only ending when Hagrid interrupted, "We gotta go, Harry - loads o' stuff we gotta do. C'mon, now."

Doris Dockford shook Harry's hand for the last time and then Hagrid took him through the barricade and into the small backyard surrounded with a huge wall.

Hagrid then looked at Harry, grinning, "Didn' I tell yeh? See? Yer famous, Harry! Even Professor Quirrell, bless 'is heart, started tremblin' when he saw yeh - mind you, he's always tremblin', the poor bloke."

"Is he always this nervous?" Harry asked, internally wondering a lot about Quirrell.

"Aye, always. Smart head, mind. He was alright when he was jus' buried in books, but then he went off ter see the world for a year, lookin' at things, seein' what's what..." Hagrid said, pitying Quirrell, "first off, he ran inter vampires in the Black Forest, then he had a nasty fight with some creature or other - can' remember the name - but he ain't bin the same since. Gets the jitters 'round students an' his subject -" Hagrid began going through his pockets, "where'd I put that umbrella, now?"

Harry couldn't stop thinking about Quirrell right now. Is Voldemort on the back of his head right now too? Is he giving him orders even now? Is Voldemort somewhere in here? If he is, how come his scar didn't hurt?

"Three from up top... two from the side..." Hagrid said, unintentionally breaking Harry out of his thoughts, "Right then, step back a bit, Harry." He then tapped on the brick wall with the top of his umbrella.

Suddenly the wall began moving from the place where he'd last tapped, it began to open up. Behind Hagrid, Harry could see the Diagon Alley.

"Welcome, Harry, ter Diagon Alley!" Hagrid said.

They walked into the alley, and he quickly remembered that he should act like the same curious kid he was when he was here for the very first time.

"Right, we'll get yer somethin' here, but firs' we gotta get some o' that money outta..." Hagrid said, as they began walking towards the wizarding bank.

Harry just stayed quiet, and Hagrid seemed to think that he's just a kid who wants to see everything.

"Gringotts, tha's the bank." Hagrid gestured towards it, and Harry just now realized they had arrived.

And so, they entered, "That's a goblin, that is," Hagrid explained, although he didn't need to, Harry was glad, becuase just doing this simple thing had made it easier for him to pretend.

"Wow" he let out, sounding like an amused child, who is amused by the fact that he already has money. Looking at them, he realized just how short he used to be, he knew he was shorter then an average boy his age, but this? The goblin that was coming down the stairs was just a head shoulder then Harry, no more, maybe even less...

Before they fully entered Harry noticed the sign that has always been there, and reread it, both because he wanted to, but also to get more into the act.

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take, but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

"Aye, only a blinkin' idiot'ud try robbin' this place." Hagrid noted.

Harry cringed internally at that, becuase, well... he, Ron and Hermione did break in once. To steal a horcrux inside the vault that belongs to Lestranges... and they then succesfully escaped on a dragon.

"Mornin', we'd like ter take some money outta Harry Potter's vault, please." Only now Harry realized they walked to the window.

"Do you have a key, sir?"

"Aye, I should have it 'ere somewhere..." Hagrid then began to go through his pockets again, pulling out and putting on the counter, basically everything he has in the pockets, some of the dog treats even got on the goblins book, who wasn't happy about it.

"Here it is!" He exclaimed cheerfully and gave the key to the goblin, who checked it carefully, "it seems to be alright."

"An' I've got a letter from Professor Dumbledore here too, it's about..." Hagrid added, "well, you-know-what's in vault seven hundred an' thirteen." And then gave the letter to the goblin.

The goblin carefully read it.

"Very correct" he answered and gave the letter back, "I'll call you someone who'll bring you to both of the vaults. Griphook!"

Griphook, Harry had almost forgotten about him. That damn goblin locked him and his best friends in that vault and left them for dead!

Griphook arrived only a few seconds later after being called. Hagrid quickly stuffed everything back into his pockets and both he and Harry followed Griphook.

"Now, don' expect me ter be spillin' the beans, eh? It's a secret, see, and I'd rather keep me job, thank you kindly!" Hagrid misinterpreted Harry's silence while they walked towards another door, following Griphook.

Griphook held the door open for them so they could enter. When they entered he saw the same tunnel and sat in the same cart as the always did. Hagrid, as always, had a little issue getting in it, and their ride had  begun. The ride was as fast as be remembered, if not faster, it was changing directions rapidly.

After a minute the ride was over and they got out. Griphook unlocked the door to Harry's vault.

After the green smoke had disappeared, he saw all of his wealth again, well atleast how much he has so far. And Harry realized something... why did Hagrid specifically said his name when he said they want to go to his vault? The first time he just assumed that he said it like this simply becuase his parents are dead, but what if the reason for it is different? What if he has specifically his own vault and his parents had their own?

"All o' this is yours, see?" Hagrid smiled at Harry, for whom this action made him jolt back to reality.

He saw mountains of money, most of them were galleons, he also saw one mountain only containing sickles but also one that had all three coins mixed together, that mountain was the biggest. As he noticed the least of the coins that he has are knuts, the least valuable ones. He also noticed something that he hadn't paid much attention the previous times he was in his vault. He saw documents and other objects.

"This oughta be enough fer a year or two, we'll leave the rest here, safe an' sound." Hagrid said, after the two of them filled his small bag.

After they did so, his attention moved to the other stuff in his vault. First he checked out the objects. He picked them at random.

Hagrid hadn't stopped him, becuase from his perspective, Harry is seeing all of this for the very first time and is just a curious child, and the way he's acting right now, just supports it further. He knows that it's safe for Harry to touch, because it's not cursed, and if there are any charms on them, they are set the way that only the exact person to whom this vault belongs to (Harry (or their family)), it is safe for and won't cause any harm.

Among the objects Harry found multiple interesting artifacts: a flat piece of wood on which was another flat piece of gold in which the coat of arms of the Potter family was carved in, and other magical artifacts.

He also noticed some documents, through which he only briefly went through, pretty much only reading the titles, he also noticed his parent's last will , one from his mom, Lily, and the other from his father, James. James's last will was visibly longer. As he went through them, his eyes caught onto something huge:

Clause 1 – Guardianship of Harry James Potter

In the event of my death, or the death of my wife, Lily Evans Potter (née Evans), or in any circumstance in which either or both of us are deemed unable to properly care for our son, Harry James Potter, it is my express wish that he is not placed under the care of his maternal relatives unless no other viable option exists.

Priority guardianship is to be given to Sirius Orion Black, my son’s godfather, provided he is willing and deemed fit to assume such responsibility. Should he be unable or unavailable, Remus John Lupin is to be considered as a secondary guardian.

It is explicitly stated that neither option should be disregarded in favour of placing Harry James Potter with the Dursley family while any suitable magical guardian remains available.

It is my and my wife’s clear intention that Harry James Potter be raised within the wizarding world.

…

And then he briefly went through the rest, it said that he's the one who inherits everything. His father's was longer, because he had a lot more then his mom did.  He did the same with his mom's, she had written some stuff longer, but in what it said, it was pretty much same as his dad's.

After a short while, Harry and Hagrid got out of his vault.

"Next up's vault seven hundred an' thirteen, but blimey, can't it go a bit slower?" Hagrid asked Griphook.

"We only have one speed," Griphook replied, in the usual goblin rude way.

So they sat back in and now, their ride was even faster, colder and with more sharp turns. Harry noticed a dragon while they rode, this reminded him of riding a dragon while escaping from Gringotts after he and his friends broke into the Lestrange's vault.

But the memory faded as quickly as it appeared, as they stopped. Right, the philosopher's stone...

Just like last time, the vault sevenhundred and seventeen doesn't have a keyhole.

"Stay here," Griphook ordered them importantly. Then he gently poked in the door, which immediately disappeared.

"If someone, other then a goblin from Gringottbank, tries to do this, it'll immediately pull them in and they'll be imprisoned there." Griphook said and while maliciously smiling he added, "We check the vaults about every ten years."

Hagrid then quickly took the small packet, which contains the philosopher's stone, and put it inside his pocket.

"Right, let's get a move on, but best if you don' talk t' me on the ride. Better if I keep me gob shut, yeh know?" Hagrid said, as they walked towards the cart.

After their final wild ride, they were out of the Gringottbank and they were squinting due to the fact their eyes have to get used the the amount of light is going into their eyes.

"Right, firs' thing, we'll get yer uniform sorted."  Hagrid said and gestured with his head towards the madam Malkin's shop.

"Listen, Harry, would yeh mind if ol' Hagrid popped off fer a wee dram at the Leaky Cauldron? Blimey, I do 'ate them rides at Gringotts, I do." Hagrid asked, he genuinely looked like he still feels like throwing up, so Harry said that he doesn't mind.

After Hagrid left Harry got inside the shop alone.

"To Hogwarts, darling?" Madam Malkin asked, and Harry ended up being able to only nod before she quickly added.

"We have everything you want here - currently we're serving that young man right there."

In the back side of the shop Harry noticed none other then the famous boy with a sharp pale face, Draco Malfoy. They aren't exactly friendly with eachother, but he did save Harry's life once, and Harry did the same for him.

Madam Malkin placed Harry on a small table next to him. She pulled a long black habit and began to shorten it to the correct length.

"Hi," Malfoy greeted him, "are you going to Hogwarts too?"

"Yea," Harry replied simply, not really wanting to get deep into a conversation with Malfoy.

"Dad went to go get me the books and mom went to the end of the alley for wands", Malfoy said with a bored tone. "And then I'll force them to go with me to look at racer brooms with me. I don't understand why first years can't have their own brooms."

"Probably for their safety," Harry thought in his mind.

"I'll probably convince them to buy me one and then I'll try to somehow sneak it in." He grinned.

"Do you have your own broom?"

"No," Harry replied.

"Do you even play Quidditch?"

"No," ("not yet," he thought in his mind, trying not grin)

"I do - dad said it would be a crime if they don't choose me for the house team, and I have to say that I completely agree. Do you know already to which house you'll go to?"

"No," Harry replied, genuinely wondering to which he would actually go to now... sure, he originally went to Gryffindor but what if this time he goes to Slytherin?

"Well, honestly, nobody knows for sure to which house they'll go to, but I'll definitely be in Slythrin, my parents and my whole family went there - just imagine if they put me to Ravenclaw, I would immediately pack my things and leave, wouldn't you?"

"Hmm, I don't know..." Harry said, trying not to smile as he's imagining Malfoy, in Ravenclaw. That would never happen, and that's what makes it so funny for him.

"Hey! Look at that man!" Malfoy exclaimed and pointing at Hagrid who's outside the shop, grinning and showing two ice creams and thus non-verbally indicating that he can't go inside.

"That's Hagrid," Harry explained, only now realizing that this was, in his original timeline, the last time, before Hogwarts, when he was friendly with Malfoy... *maybe he should try and befriend him? *

"Oh," Malfoy exhaled, "I heard about him. He works at Hogwarts as a servant or something like that?"

Or maybe not...

"No, he's a groundskeeper." Harry corrected him. Maybe it wouldn't be the best idea to befriend Malfoy, he's too deep in that pure-blood suppiority bullcrap.

"Oh, yea, you're right. I heard that he's such a primitive guy - he lives in a hut and whenever he tries to do magic he risks getting his bed on fire."

"In my opinion he's great," he hadn't even tried to act, and yet he's acting just like he did when he was eleven.

"Are you serious?" Malfoy asked surprised, and then grinned, "and where are your parents?"

"Underground," Harry said, trying his best to to call him an insult or a 'dimwit', "they died."

"Oh, I'm so sorry," he said, not sounding like it, but his grin faded immediately, "were they atleast one of us, right?"

"Yea, they were."

"Personally, I think that they shouldn't accept the other ones, what about you? They're different then us, they were raised completely differently." Oh how much Harry wants to slap him right now. "Some of them even heard about Hogwarts for the first time when they got the letter. I think they should only accept those from old wizarding families. What's your name anyway?"

Harry just stared at Malfoy, trying his best to control himself.

"All done, honey," Madam Malkin said, and Harry quickly got off.

Before he got out of the store he payed for his habit and then walked out and to Hagrid.

"Somethin' wrong, Harry?" Hagrid asked, noticed Harry's change in the mood.

"I just... there was this one boy with me at the store, and, and he rambled on that the other people aren't worthy to study at Hogwarts and that they should only accept people from old wizarding families, and that muggle-borns are weak and should die-" he rambled before noticing, clearly showing how much he hates Malfoy and people like him.

But Hagrid interrupted him, putting his palm over Harry's shoulder, who, unlike this morning after his nightmare, hadn't flinched this time. "Aye, some folk are just like that, Harry. They reckon Muggle-borns shouldn't be allowed at Hogwarts, sayin' they'll fail an' that only pure-bloods are good enough. But yer mum, now, she was a brilliant witch! Fought You-Know-Who an' them Death Eaters an' won! An' great at Potions too! So what if you ain't pure-blood? Both yer parents were amazin' wizards, an' you'll be just as great, mark my words!" Hagrid said softly and soothingly.

"..." Harry calmed down, "yea, you're right, thanks" he said, not knowing why he was this angry over such a trivial thing. Malfoy was always this way!

"Don't you worry yer head about it." Hagrid said.

They went to other shops, to buy other school supplies, too; ink, pergamen, quills, all the books that he needs, couldron, weights, ingredients for potions, one binoculars.

It was quite boring and uneventful, but calm, for Harry's luck, nobody seemed to recognize him.

Hagrid even decided again to go and buy Harry a pet for his birthday, even after Harry had said that he doesn't have to do that; the same one as he remembers, a snow owl... Hedwig... he remembered how a cage in which she was in, had fallen during the battle of seven Potters, but he quickly shooed the memory away as they got out of the shop after he had payed.

"Right then, yer wand. Ollivander's, here we go," Hagrid had said and they started walking towards the last shop, perhaps the oldest shop in the Diagon Alley.

When they entered, the shop looked just like Harry remembers it.

"I dearly welcome you," a familiar nice voice had said, Harry knows who exactly it is, and soon it's owner appeared soon.

"Good morning," Harry replied and Ollivander had finally got out of the dark.

"Oh yes. Yes, yes. I thought I'll see you soon, Harry Potter. You have eyes after your mother. It seems like yesterday when she had bought her first wand. Twenty-six centimeters, made out of birch, when she swished with it, it just whisled."

Ollivander had walked closer to Harry, he completely forgot how eerie it is how little Ollivander blinks.

"Meanwhile your father preferred a mahagony wand. Twenty-eight centimeters. Pliable. It was a little more powerful and awesome for transfiguration. Well, I said that your father preferred it. But to be completely honest with you, a wand chooses a wizard."

Ollivander had gotten even closer to Harry, so close they almost touched with their noses.

"So that's where he..." he suddenly touched Harry's scar and traced it. It made Harry a little uncomfortable, but before he could complain Ollivander had backed away a little, into a more comfortable distance,  as if he hadn't just done this.

"I'm so terribly sorry that I had sold such a wand. Thirty-four centimeters. A wand holding so much power, especially in wrong hands... if I knew that wand would do such a thing..."

He shook his head and suddenly noticed Hagrid.

"Rubeus! Rebeus Hagrid! I'm so glad to see you again... oak, forty and a half centimeters long, incredibly flexible, right?"

"Yes, sir," Hagrid replied.

"It was a very good wand. But I assume they snapped it in two halves, when they expelled you." Ollivander said, looking firm.

"Hm, aye, snapped, aye, I got both 'alf's still." Hagrid said, hiding the umbrella a little.

For both Harry and Ollivander this had just proven their suspicion.

"I hope you're not still using it," Ollivander had said, making it clear that it is unsafe to use a broken wand, and Harry knows it's not a good idea to use a broken wand.

"Hmm..." Ollivander had then moved back to Harry, and took a tape measure, "so we'll look at this mister Potter. In which hand do you hold your wand?"

"Well, I'm right handed"

"Okay, forearm please, good."

And he began measure Harry, and then after a while left behind the counter while the tape measure kept measuring.

After a while he had returned.

"Okay, that's enough" he told the tape measure and it had rolled back and dropped to the floor.

"So, mister Potter, try this one." Ollivander gave Harry a wand, "beech wood with dragon heart, twenty-three centimeters. Great in hand and very pliable. Take it in your hand and wave it"

Harry took the wand and waved it but Ollivander immediately took it from him. The same thing happened  with all of the wands he also tried, he thinks that they are the same ones he tried in his original life too. The wands he tried were: maple with a feather of a pheonix, seventeen and three quarters of centimeters, very flexible; eben with a hair from the head-hair of a unicorn, twenty-one and half centimeters, quite soft.

But then came the final and last wand. His classic wand which he used all the time in his original timeline, before it broke during a fight while he visited Godric's Hollow with Hermione (using a polyjuice potion, for their own safety), coincidentally, on Christmas eve, to visit his parents's grave and the house he was supposed to be raised in. But, Voldemort and his Death Eaters knew that Harry would want to visit this little town, seeing as it was where his parents (and he himself too) lived before Voldemort murdered them on that Halloween night in 1981. But someone (probably Voldemort) killed Bathilda Bagshot, a well-known witch skilled in history of magic, and Nagini then lived inside her body, until she  lead Harry and Hermione to her house, where she told Harry to come with her upstairs where Nagini finally came out and attacked Harry immediately. A fight started, Nagini bit Harry, and after a while the fight ended. As for Harry, he fell asleep sometime after the fight ended, and unintentionally entered Voldemort's mind, and saw how Voldemort had murdered his parents that night, as if he was their murderer. It had been difficult for Hermione to get him onto a bed in a tent after they escaped, and she had to literally cut off the locket with Voldemort's part of soul in it, off of him because she knew it was just making all of that worse.

The wand is basically a part of him...

"A difficult customer, hm?" Ollivander said, sounding happy, and that made Harry snap back to reality. "Don't worry, we'll definitely find you the right one - I think if - but why not - very unusual combination - holly with a feather from a pheonix, twenty-eight centimeters, nice and very supple." Ollivander said.

Harry took the wand, swished slightly and from the end of the wand small fireworks of red and golden sparks shot out. Hagrid happily screamed and clapped. Ollivander also looked pleased and called out: "Bravo! Yes, awesome! Good, good, good..." his happiness began to fade, "but this is strange... this is truly very strange..."

Harry stayed quiet, so Hagrid asked, "Strange? What's strange 'bout that there wand, eh?"

Harry bit his lip, he knows what's strange about his wand...

"I remember every single wand, every single one that I have sold." Ollivander started explaining, still looking at Harry, "and the truth is, that the pheonix that dropped the feather, had also dropped another one. And this is the strangest, strangest of it, that the wand you're destined to have is the brother of the owner of it - of the one who left you the scar on your forehead." Ollivander said somberly. Harry hates how true all of the words he's saying are true. "That's right, thirty-four and a quarter of a centimeters. That is indeed correct. Strange things happen. But remember, that a wand always chooses a wizard, always... and it seems like we can expect great and big things from you, mister Potter... well, in the very end, even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did big things - terrible, yes, but big..."

Even now Harry was unsure if Ollivander was sympathetic towards him or not, but nonetheless, this is one of the least preferable things about him. He thinks of his wand as, to some extent, a part of him, sure, but this? He doesn't like the fact that his wand is brothers with Voldemort's wand... that's why he never said that publicly, the only ones he told this were Ron and Hermione...

After he had payed seven galleons, Ollivander had respectfully bowed to them and led them to the door.

When he and Hagrid were going down the Diagon Alley, the afternoon sun was very low now. Soon they were back in the Leaky Couldron (no one was there now)  and back into the muggle London.

"Yeh alright there, Harry?" Hagrid asked, noticing Harry's,  even quieter then usual, behaviour.

"I just...." Harry started, feeling like a kid again, "just that my wand is brother's with Vol-... I mean You-Know-Who's wand... why...? I..." he stammered, but calmed down quickly, embarrassed at how he spoke, "I just, it's horrible..."

"Aye..." Hagrid agreed, clearly caught off gaurd by what Harry had just said, but his tone changed into something more soothing, "jus' 'cause yer wand's a brother o' You-Know-Who's don' mean yer gonna be like 'im! Yeh can be th' exact opposite! It all depends on yeh, Harry!" Hagrid put a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder.

After this, they went to a hamburger place, where they ate. Afterwards they walked back to the train station.

Once they were inside the train (with Hagrid helping Harry get all of his just-bought school supplies on), Hagrid gave him an envelope, and explained, "Yeh got yer ticket ter Hogwarts right in there. September firs' - King's Cross station - it's all writ there fer yeh. If them Dursleys give yeh any trouble, jus' send me a note with yer owl, she knows where ter find me..."

Hagrid, stepped out of the train, "See yeh soon, Harry." And the train moved and Hagrid was gone once again.
